Welcome

Hi.  My names Pete and I love computers, love fixing them, using them and  helping people use them.  I used to work as a repair tech for two of the biggest pc retailers, no names but if i say computers usa and the best of buys I'm sure you can guess who .  I hated it because most people who came in knew nothing about their computer only that its not working.  They trusted those big name stores to help them.  Instead the stores used that lack of knowledge to increase their profits.  Each day there would be some new reason that made me want to tell the customers no, you don't need that  or this is the easy way to do it.  I grew more and more depressed with my job. 

Luckily I landed a job repairing pcs in house for the local community college. I still do some repairs on the side for family and friends but only through recommendations. 

So why this blog?  I want to tell you everything the stores do not want you to know about pc repair.  So that you can fix things your self or if you do not want to, then to at least give you the information you need so that you get exactly the service you need.
